Friday 13th March was no ordinary day for Osemka. Courtesy of Grassroot
funding from Ealing & Brentford
Consolidated Charity, Osemka
relaunched a junior training programme,
for girls and boys of all ages and abilities.
A turn out of 6 girls and 6 boys got the
first session off to a great start, with
promises from others to attend in
forthcoming weeks. Please tell your
friends about this opportunity and just
come along on Friday evenings at
6.45pm -
Costs are just £1.50 per session.

Immediately following the junior session, Osemka senior
squad had a ‘Mens London League Division 1’ match against
‘high flying’ British Airways, although the jets weren’t flying
that high. It seems that the Osemka boys were hyped up
after the junior session, and perhaps the threat of relegation
to these sessions put every player on his toes. To cut a long
story short, Osemka did a true ‘demolition job’, defeating the
opposition 3-
and 15. Every player showed true commitment and dedication
on the court, and apart from trailing 3-
set, which quickly became a lead of 9-
the match never seemed in doubt. The victory rounded of a
resounding two weeks for Osemka, picking up 3 wins out of
3.
